  • Our Family Reunion

Not my real family - "the Telligent family reunion" was how Joe Morel described our recent get-together in Dallas. Ado shows you the fun side of working for Telligent in the latest video - your truly appears at 4:13, 5:55 and 6:34. w00t! P.S. I already found the blooper - look at 2:24. Terri Morton is incorrectly introduced as Joe ...

  • Splitting up Telligent

Hehe, no it's not breaking news of anything important. Just a catchy headline. It's just that today I'm taking the drastic step to split up my longest IM group - »Telligent - into a few smaller ones. I probably only have half the company in my list (very few services and administrative people at all) and it's still too big ...

  • Linking your blogs to a different URL

Gotta quickly blog this one since it was something I couldn't find out here in blogland.. CS has the ability (now hidden) to link each blog post to a given URL - any URL. As I said, it's hidden in the UI, so you can't set it, but I had to add it back so here's a quick and dirty method. Notes apply to CS2007 RTM.open ...

  • My boss's boss?

I'm taking a risk here openly haranguing the boss' boss, but what the hell. I'm all for experimentation (but not with farm animals kids) but Scott W's blog experiment is sucking for me. You may not have seen it, but http://me.scottwater.com is where he is running Scott Watermasysk's Nuggets; a quick and easy blogging engine ...

  • Vista Blog on Community Server

Yesterday the new Vista blog launched with a post from Jim Allchin. Our guys did a great job with the visuals of the Community Server 2.1 SP1 site, don't you think? I thought it was interesting that Jim's family are all running Vista, even the seven year old. Extreme dogfooding! [include:blogad]

  • Couple of shout-outs

Dave Burke has done an amazing job with the Daily News (and kudos to whoever made the suggestion for a full-time evangelist; a truly inspiring decision) - Dave posted the Fiftieth Edition today. Looking at this from a business POV, Dave has made a big difference to the visibility of the Telligenti - but more importantly he is still discussing ...

  • Categories, Tags and Folksonomy

Someone just asked where categories went in CS 2.1. Although many people picked up via blogs and forums that categories were morphed into tags, others didn't get the memo. The 2.1 announcement didn't specifically point this out either. Regardless, I just realized that I had never posted the link that changed my mind ...

  • Another n00b question

As I've said before, I don't mind asking stupid questions (why can I clearly hear ScottW's voice saying "just as well"?) - I'll post it all here just in case it helps someone Today's "I wish I hadn't asked that" was when I told Ben that I really missed the rich editing experience that RichTextBox gave ...

  • After RTM

Maggie 019 Originally uploaded by jamesandtara. Not really, but this is how whipped I felt after the CS 2.1 RTM went out. Here's Cody who can't resist a good snuggle. I was on IM and in Flickr with Rich Mercer who pointed out the "Blog This" in Flickr, so I couldn't resist having a go. Having never looked at these ...

  • Welcome to British Inside

My first ever post on Community Server 2.1! I decided to use this new domain to allow me to setup CS independantly, writing a tool to migrate posts across from www.CoverYourASP.NET and generally get everything configured as I'd like. It still isn't perfect - I haven't migrated comments across yet. But I'm here; I can check off ...
