Changing your password breaks Scheduled Tasks!

This is dumb. You're *supposed* to change your password frequently, right? I changed my login password on my desktop from very weak to super strong when I went to Telligent HQ last time because I wanted to use RDC to get onto my home machine from my laptop. It worked great!

But today I noticed that none of my backups have run for over 2 months.

I'm feeling a little cranky today, but this is just stupid. Why wouldn't Windows apply my password change to my scheduled tasks when I changed my login?

Handy Tip: Look at c:\windows\SchedLgU.txt - it'll show you how the scheduled tasks are running.

Mine was full of entries like this:

"b4a_Network Backup.job" (b4aSchedStarter.exe) 10/5/2007 4:00:00 AM ** ERROR **
The attempt to log on to the account associated with the task failed, therefore, the task did not run.
The specific error is: 0x8007052e: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
Verify that the task's Run-as name and password are valid and try again.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.
