My boss's boss?

I'm taking a risk here openly haranguing the boss' boss, but what the hell. Stick out tongue

I'm all for experimentation (but not with farm animals kids) but Scott W's blog experiment is sucking for me. You may not have seen it, but http://me.scottwater.com is where he is running Scott Watermasysk's Nuggets; a quick and easy blogging engine that simplifies publishing your quick thoughts.

After his blogging about why Snap Preview sucks (duh!) here's why his blog sucks.

  1. I can't put my "duh!" comment on there. I wouldn't have said that comment were a necessity for blogging until I found I couldn't enter one. Now I firmly believe that comments are a necessity. Without comments you appear superior to us simple readers, putting your fingers in your ears and singing "la, la, la, la, la" loudly.

    Bring back comments
  2. I can't even link to the post that I want to; only the day it was posted. Sucks too, because...

    Oh bollocks.

Ok, ok there is a link to each post. I missed that little # tucked away down there. Still I still think it sucks (kinda have to make something up here) because the, uh, title doesn't have that link! Yes!
  3. Really, it's the comment thing - that's the point I'm making here.

Oh Dear God I'm going to pay for this. But hey Scott, you know you deserve some payback this week, right? Stick out tongue

You are correct...well, about the comments. I was against adding them at first, but now I do 100% agree. Comments in Monroe (what powers http://me.scottwater.com) are about 80% done. I am hoping to finish them up this week(end) and will then enable them. Thanks, Scott

Better you than me.. :P I agree with you 100% as well. Scott has been finding some interesting links and blogging about them with his Monroe blog. His FeedBurner feed includes posts from both his regular CS blog and Monroe blog. Nearly every day I click on one of his posts in my feed reader wanting to comment on it, only to find that a Monroe one and there's no way to comment. That sucks. :( And yes, Snap Preview does suck as well. Even more than Scott's monroe posts not having comments!

+1 Lots of great finds that I can't link to or comment on. Is the experiment in how to drive your readers crazy?
