  • Couple of shout-outs

Dave Burke has done an amazing job with the Daily News (and kudos to whoever made the suggestion for a full-time evangelist; a truly inspiring decision) - Dave posted the Fiftieth Edition today.

Looking at this from a business POV, Dave has made a big difference to the visibility of the Telligenti - but more importantly he is still discussing harder subjects like clients who are having problems or even leaving Community Server.

    That's the key, I think.

Daily News is not just a thinly-veiled marketing tool. People aren't dumb.

Not only that, but Dave does a great job of pushing internally too - often he'll raise issues on our internal developer email lists that aren't getting the attention that they deserve on the forums.

    Great job, Dave.

Shout-out #2 goes to Jose who keeps putting up with my dumb questions on IM at night. I swear they don't start out dumb, but after wasting more of Jose's time that I wish to recount they inevitably end up with me realizing that I missed a step somewhere.

I'm getting there, Jose, I'm getting there. In the meantime, thanks.

I fully agree on your comments on Dave. The Daily News is IMO a great step forward for the whole Community Server land, and makes it easy for us to keep up on what's happening, what things are talked about etc etc. A consolitated view on everyday CS life.
