Another n00b question

As I've said before, I don't mind asking stupid questions (why can I clearly hear ScottW's voice saying "just as well"?) - I'll post it all here just in case it helps someone Big Smile

Today's "I wish I hadn't asked that" was when I told Ben that I really missed the rich editing experience that RichTextBox gave me, and how TinyMCE was so plain.

And then of course he told me that I could simply turn on Enhanced Editor in my profile settings.

Phlaaaaaaaarrrrrrpppp. And that's all I have to say about that.

Almost. I've been through every page in the control panel four or five times and studied all the options there. But I've never even seen "my profile settings". Perhaps there's a link simply missing from the Paperclip theme that I use (it happens - in RC1 we found a bunch of things missing from Paperclip).

But I had to find it - the default Standard Editor is just nasty. (Note to self: find out why it's the default). It only took a few minutes of course - it's only accessible by searching for your own name under Admin > Membership > Find people. Then click on your name.

And oh, what I lovely new set of options to play with! Now I have an avatar, occupation, interests, birthday, etc, etc. And an enhanced editor. Wink

Bonus tip from Ben: "you can add more options by editing the Skin-Editor-X.ascx (where X is the editor name) and addition buttons via TinyMCE's properties -- you can see the TinyMCE options on their web site"

James thanks for the tip! Also if you had not removed the welcome box in the header of your blog you could have just simply clicked into your login name to access your profile options. :-)
