Bye Bye Google

I uninstalled Google Desktop Search this morning, after using it since an early beta launch. I'm now trying Windows Desktop Search.

I loved GDS, but over the last year it's gradually stopped working. One of the key requirements is to index my growing email pst's, but as email gets automatically archived GDS loses track of the email. Pretty dumb.

The results of this are that GDS will find the emails that match my search, but cannot display the body or open the email - can you imagine anything more frustrating?!?

I prefer WDS' interface at this point. I'm a newbie to this, but unusually MSFT have done a better job at a simple interface than Google IMO. Some parts of the GDS interface were pretty clunky. And I love the ability to be so specific with the places I search and I love the preview pane.
