ASP.NET Hosting under $5
A couple of years ago Scott Guthrie mentioned at dinner one evening that his goal was to encourage hosting companies to offer ASP.NET hosting with SQL Server for under $5 a month. It seemed quite unlikely to me that it would happen without MSFT subsidizing it, but this morning Scott pointed us to the hosting section on www.asp.net where hosting companies are listed by price..

Scott also promotes some FREE ASP.NET 2.0 hosting - again, with SQL Server - but that is only for a 30 day testing account.
I still think my sponsor (Discount ASP.NET) beats most with it's 3 months free offer, but regardless it's great to see Scott's plan pan out. Seeing cheap plans with SQL Server really helps the ASP.NET CMS market.
