Outlook groaning under pressure

My Outlook is groaning under the pressure of me having hundreds of domains with catchall email addresses.

I use SpamBayes to detect spam (I love it), but this morning it popped up a message telling me it had to stop because "my outlook folder is full".

I didn't know it could be "full" - I guessed it must mean some old 16 bit code left inside the app, and I was right. The Spam folder contained 65535 items.

So I went to set the auto-archive setting for that folder to start throwing away really old spam and found it was already set - to permanently delete after 3 months! Holy cow, 64k* of spam in under 3 months.

So, now I've set it to 10 weeks. I guess this is how I see how fast spam is increasing - when I have to set it to 2 weeks in order to keep under 64k...

* Yes, I mean 64k individual emails, not 64k in bytes. That's 546 a day or one every 3 minutes..
