  • My New CD

I'm back from a great vacation in St. Augustine, FL where we really did have great weather. A few storms in the evenings but otherwise 90 degrees and sunny on the beach.

Today I was inspired to create a new CD so I searched my new and old favorites to come up with this compilation.

You're going to think some of these are pretty weird; I understand that. Many of them - no, all of them - are here for sentimental reasons, and some are here because of a movie clip associated with them (like Heart and Soul from the race in American Graffiti, or Matt Monro crooning to the Lamborghini Muira over the Alps in The Italian Job) or simply a great music video.

Perhaps you just had to be there, and since you weren't I expect many derogatory comments.

    So here they are.

    Akon: Lonely
Dean Martin: On an evening in Roma
Black Eyed Peas: Let's Get It Started
    Dido: Thank you
    Dean Martin: That's Amore
    Edie Brickell: Good Times
Mamas And The Papas: Monday, Monday
    Smash Mouth: Stoned
Nancy Sinatra: The Boots Are Made For Walking
    Evanescence: My Immortal
    The Cleftones: Heart and Soul
Carole King & Louise Goffin: Where You Lead I Will Follow
    Ani DiFranco: Wishin' and Hopin'
    Smash Mouth: All Star
The Lovin' Spoonful: Do You Believe In Magic
    Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Maps
Matt Monro: On Days Like These

P.S. I only just realized that putting blog entries into different categories doesn't help you, Dear Constant Reader, much. You have to listen to all this drivel even if you're only interested in ASP.NET-related drivel or Good Things To Do In Business.

So from this entry onwards I have created new blogs for the categories on the left, and am posting to the relevant one. So you can subscribe to the Site Blog and get everything (as you will continue to do, by default) or you can simply subscribe to the particular drivelling you desire, like /AboutMe/Rss (my personal drivelling, where this is going).

    More to follow..
