Is it over yet?
Another of those days.
- The day of a big release (no, with 2.5 hours to go, it's not released yet, but I stay hopeful)
- The last week of school for my kids (not strictly relevant, but makes for a hugely busy week)
- A couple of big meetings
And then I go and run over my 5 year old son.
*blink*
Ok, I was heading to the gym at the same time that the school bus turns up. I drive up the drive, kiss the kids goodbye and pull out. Except that Jesse had something to say and stepped forward again, and didn't realize that my "doolie" truck's wheels stick out.
Fact is, no-one saw it, but the result was my son on the ground with a swollen foot. Off to ER with us, an empty ER at 8am at least, and a quick x-ray shows a neat little fracture on his little toe bone (technical term).
If you're a kid, this sort of thing really messes up your summer vacation plans.
Damn. You can imagine I'm not feeling too bright right now. Anyway, off to the orthopedic office tomorrow for a cast - hopefully we can get a cast he can swim in...
